Available throughout California

Understand the property
before buying plans.

Three levels, each answering a different question: what the statewide rules say about your address, what the adopted code says about your parcel, and whether a specific unit actually fits on it.

The free California site report is available for any property in the state. Paid reports are currently available for properties in San Diego, Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

Why the split

A profile is not a feasibility study.

The Zoning & Site Profile establishes what the parcel is and what the adopted code requires of it, each item carried with its citation. It does not decide whether a particular unit fits, because that question has no answer without a footprint to test: setbacks, lot coverage and access only mean something once there is a building to measure against them. That is the Site Plan Study, which is why it asks you to choose a plan first and why it is prepared by a person rather than generated.
